Bellurgan house – WOW. This was a hidden gem I had never heard about, but it really made for such an incredible wedding venue. I spent the morning taking in all the fine details that Jude had set up for the day; and there were so many. I wish I could share all the photos from the day with you, but you would be scrolling for half an hour. So, here is a very small snapshot of Jude & Brendan’s big day at Bellurgan Park in Co. Louth.
Jude and Brendan wanted a really stripped back day, there was only me, no videographer and they wanted to showcase the day in a candid way – the laughs, smiles, tears (happy of course) and general feel. I love weddings like this, it gives me time to breathe, take in what’s going on and really get the most out of the opportunity to shoot predominantly candid.
The stripped back vibe carried throughout the day, with a beautiful rustic and handmade feel. A lot of the items you see in the photos were made by Jude and the team which really injected an air of individuality to the day.
During my wanders around the ground I noticed a cool rustic door which I know would come in handy for photos. As we did some photos around that area, I noticed a few of the staff members followed to look on which was great. One of the fellows was a fire dancer so he volunteered to run up a tree and back-flip over the bride and groom. What a physical feat of awesomeness. Look out for that shot.
