Larchfield estate weddings are always a pleasure to photograph. This rustic venue situated just outside Lisburn and has the perfect amount of rustic elegance – great for any vintage wedding.
As a photographer it’s all about getting the balance just right and making sure I don’t take up too much time shooting the bride and groom – it takes away precious time they have with their guests. That’ is why it’s great to take photos at a venue that has it all: the ceremony, the drinks reception, the photos and the meal. Larchifeld is perfect for this! I always take some time to head down to the lake for some feature shots, just a stones throw away from where all the action is so makes sure the bride and groom aren’t away from their guests too long.
Lauren & Gavin were a pleasure to work with, their outgoing yet chilled personalities allowed me to capture some natural shots of them throughout the day. It rained a little, but hey it wouldn’t be a northern Irish summer wedding without a quick shower. During showers Gavin had the hip flask to hand so they could both take a swig. I like his style.
I hope you enjoy the latest instalment in the James McGrillis Photography blog.
