Montalto Estate Weddings – There’s no denying that Montalto has an elegance and charm about it. It has become a very popular and prestigious wedding venue over the years and picking up awards on the way. So naturally it’s a pleasure shooting here even though it was an extremely wet one! Rachael and Richard breezed through the day not letting anything phase them. Having so many big personalities there made it easy to get lots of natural candid shots of friends and fam. This wedding was pre-Covid so there was lots of hugging and high fiving – the good old days.
I regularly work with videographers and its always interesting to see their differing shooting styles. I liked their style – technically minded and ready for anything. They rigged up the pickup truck for a truly cinematic shot of the wedding car rolling up the Montalto drive. The two man team drove ahead in the truck; videographer chilling in the back pointing the camera on a gimbal towards the Roller. The shot they got was fantastic so big kudos.
Now, let’s talk mirrors. Selfie mirrors. You may think they are a gimmick but these mirrors really bring your guest out of their chair and on to the dance floor. So do not rule them out. The company Rach and Richard used was called Selfie Mirror NI and they use the latest, fanciest selfie mirrors. They contain a lot more tech in them than you think. Everything is touch screen so very interactive for your guest. They can get their photo, interact with the mirror by adding emojis, signatures and then get a printout to take home.
I hope you have enjoyed this latest instalment in the blog. I just wanted to thank Rachael and Richard to letting me shoot their beautiful wedding.
